Laser metrology
The MLL develops smart measuring and control procedures for laser-assisted dosimetry and therapy, in order to improve applications with respect to efficiency and safety.

Current example:
The MLL invented and realized a method to non-invasively determine the retinal temerature increase online during laser irradiation. The idea was awarded with the Innovation prize for medical technology from the german ministry of education and research (BMBF) in 2002.
